Abstract:
The present invention provides an electric brake system that has redundancy in a power supply system and that can increase the degree of freedom for component-mounting space. This electric brake system is provided with a plurality of electric brake devices. A control device (2) of each electric brake device has: an abnormality determining unit (26) that determines whether there is an abnormality in the supply of power from a power-supply device (3) to the electric brake device; and a redundant-function control unit (27) that controls, when the abnormality determining unit (26) determines that there is an abnormality in the supply of power from the power-supply device (3) to the electric brake device, a brake force by using an auxiliary power (18) according to a specified condition. As the specified condition, at least when a desired brake force cannot be output only by all electric brake devices in each of which the abnormality determining unit (26) has determined that there is no abnormality in the supply of power, the redundant-function control unit (27) controls the brake force by using the auxiliary power (18).
