Abstract:
[Problem] To allow the size in a connector width direction to be reduced readily in a structure wherein a shield shell is disposed at an external position from a contact member. [Solution] The invention adopts a configuration wherein, relative to a first contact member 13 of a first connector 10, a first shield shell 12a is disposed to the exterior in the connector width direction, wherefrom a ground connection part 12d is caused to protrude outward in the connector width direction. In so doing, the configuration is such that, when two connectors 10, 20 are mated, an inner end surface 12d3 of the ground connection part 12d is disposed within the range of the plate width t of a second shield shell 22, thereby disposing the first shield shell 12 to the interior in the connector width direction relative to the ground connection part 12d, so that, when the two connectors 10, 20 are mated, the second shield shell 22, which is disposed to the exterior in the connector width direction relative to the first shield shell 12a, is disposed more to the connector interior than in the prior art.
