Provided are an electric curtain control device and a program for the same that control the opening and closing of a curtain hanging from and supported on a curtain rail by a plurality of runners, said control device and program controlling the opening and closing of the curtain by moving the lead runner with a motor via a prescribed rotation transmitting mechanism. This control device (36) comprises: a clutch drive control unit (364) that controls an electromagnetic clutch (34) for connecting or releasing a rotary output shaft (42) and a rotary shaft of the motor (35); a motor drive control unit (363) that controls the motor (35); and a control unit (366) that controls the clutch drive control unit (364) and the motor drive control unit (363) by monitoring the rotation of the rotary output shaft (42) on the basis of a signal from a rotational detector disposed on the rotary output shaft (42). The control unit (366) controls the driving of the motor (35) by monitoring whether the rotary output shaft (42) is rotating, the direction of rotation, and the rotational speed while the electromagnetic clutch (34) is in a released state, and connects the electromagnetic clutch (34) when the curtain pull speed changes from being higher than a target speed to being equal to or lower than the target speed.
