Abstract:
An electric linear actuator in which the preload force of an elastic member (45) is loaded on a friction coupling surface (47) when an outer ring member (4) is not loading an object with a forward axial direction load and in which the axial direction load loaded on the friction coupling surface (47) is reduced by the magnitude of a reverse axial direction reaction force when the outer ring member (4) is loading the object with a forward axial direction load, wherein: the actuator is provided with a load sensor (30) that supports the reverse axial direction reaction force, which the outer ring member (4) receives from the object, via planet rollers (13) and a carrier (14); and the load sensor (30) is provided so that even if the magnitude of the load acting from a retaining ring (48) in the forward axial direction changes, the detected reaction force value is not affected.
