Abstract:
Provided is a rotor for an electric motor wherein the anchoring of the permanent magnet-holding member with respect to the main rotor body is reliable, processing of the main rotor body is easy, and manufacturing is inexpensive. The rotor is one wherein multiple permanent magnets (21) are held in a permanent magnet-holding member (29) that is made of synthetic resin, which is anchored on the outer part of a cylindrical main rotor body (28). The outer surface of the main rotor body (28) is a cylindrical surface, and at both ends of the main rotor body (28), rotation-stopping recesses (30) are formed at multiple places in the circumferential direction of the outer part. The permanent magnet-holding member (29) comprises rings (31) that adhere to the outer parts of both end surfaces of the main rotor body (28), and connecting parts (32) that connect the two rings (31) at the outer surface of the main rotor body (28) and hold the permanent magnets (21). Multiple rotation-stopping protrusions (33) that fit into the rotation-stopping recesses (30) of the main rotor body (28) are formed integrally in the permanent magnet-holding member (29).
