Abstract:

The present invention realizes a structure of an electric motor with a reverse-input-blocking clutch, the structure making compactness easier to achieve. An output shaft 2 is formed by using a reverse-input-blocking clutch 20 to connect a first shaft 22 and a second shaft 23 that are disposed so as to be mutually coaxial. The second shaft 23 has an end section that is on one side in the axial direction and that is located on the opposite side from the first shaft 22 with a gear section 30 interposed therebetween in the axial direction, and the end section is supported by a bearing device 3 in a rotatable manner relative to a fixed portion 34. The reverse-input-blocking clutch 20 has the following functions: when rotational torque is input into the first shaft 22, transmitting the rotational torque input into the first shaft 22 to the second shaft 23; and, when rotational torque is reverse-input into the second shaft 23, completely blocking the rotational torque reverse-input into the second shaft 23 so that the rotational torque is not transmitted to the first shaft 22, or transmitting part of the rotational torque to the first shaft 22 and blocking the remainder.
