Abstract:
This electric motor (50) comprises a field system and an armature. The armature has a core back (11), a plurality of teeth (13) extended from the core back (11) toward the field system, and three-phase coils (14) attached to the plurality of teeth (13). The plurality of teeth (13) includes: the teeth (13) to which only the coils (14) of one phase of the three phases are attached; and the teeth (13) to which the coils (14) of a plurality of phases of the three phases are attached. The teeth (13) adjacent to each other constitute slots in which the coils (14) are placed. The number of teeth (13) of the armature is an integer other than a multiple of 3. A space factor, which represents the ratio of the sectional area of the coils (14) with respect to the area of the slots in a cross-section including a first direction in which the plurality of teeth (13) are arranged and a second direction in which the field system and the armature face each other, is constant in each of the plurality of slots constituted by the plurality of teeth (13).
