Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an electric parking brake device capable of operating with an appropriate clamping force according to the load of an electric motor. An electric parking brake device has an electric motor, a rotation-linear motion conversion mechanism for converting a rotation motion of the electric motor into a linear motion, and a disk pad that moves upon application of a current to the electric motor. The electric parking brake device has: a cutoff current calculation unit for calculating a cutoff current for stopping the current to the electric motor; a torque constant calculation unit for calculating a torque constant necessary for calculating the cutoff current; and a torque constant correction unit for correcting the torque constant in a state in which the supply of power to the electric motor is stopped after the start of driving of the electric motor.
