Abstract:

An electric power generating device which can simply generate electric power in a rotary system such as wheels including tires, without degrading the performance or reliability of the rotary system. An electric power generating device (10) is mounted on a rotary body such as a tire, so that the direction of gravity acting on a weight (113) changes with rotation of the rotary body, to flex a beam (111), and the flexed beam (111) and the weight (113) vary in positions in synchronism with the period of rotation, to displace the position of a coil (121). This causes the weight (113) to vertically oscillate in synchronism with the rotation of the rotary body to change the density of a magnetic flux crossing the coil (121), thus producing an AC electromotive force in the coil (121), to make electric power generation possible.
