Abstract:
This electric toothbrush comprises a brush head having a housing part that includes a bristle part for toothbrushing. The housing part has a first metal body, at least one second metal body, a bias member, an accommodation part, and a first through hole. The at least one second metal body includes a second side surface that is in contact with a first side surface of the first metal body and that can slide along the first side surface. The bias member biases at least one second metal body such that the first metal body and the at least one second metal body press against one another. The accommodation part accommodates the first metal body, the at least one second metal body, and the bias member. The fist through hole has an open end disposed in a bristle surface to which the bristle part is provided, and connects the exterior and the accommodation part. At least one of the first metal body or the at least one second metal body contains a metallic substance that generates hydrogen through a chemical reaction with water.
