Abstract:
Provided is an electric vacuum cleaner that can improve a usage environment such as easiness of conversation. An electric vacuum cleaner 100 that suctions suction air containing dust to perform cleaning comprises: a vacuum cleaner body 1; a suction opening that suctions the suction air according to a suction force; an extension pipe 20 that is connected to the suction opening and in which the suctioned suction air flows; an electric blower 40 that is accommodated in the vacuum cleaner body 1 and generates the suction force; a motor that is accommodated in the vacuum cleaner body 1 and drives the electric blower 40; a rechargeable battery 30 that is attached to the vacuum cleaner body 1 and supplies power to the motor; a connection opening that is provided in the vacuum cleaner body 1 and connected to the extension pipe 20, and into which the suction air flows; and a silencing unit 60 that reduces noise of the electric vacuum cleaner 100 when the suction air flowing from the connection opening flows. By arranging the connection opening, the electric blower 40, the rechargeable battery 30 and the silencing unit 60 in this order from an upstream side in a flowing direction of the suction air, an improvement in a sound comprehension degree of the noise generated by the electric vacuum cleaner 100 is enabled.
