Abstract:
Provided is an electric vehicle control apparatus which prevents an excessive increase in the drive torque of a drive wheel when a drive-transmitting engaging element (5) is caused to slip. The electric vehicle control apparatus includes a clutch torque control unit (20) that performs an engaging element slipping process causing the drive-transmitting engaging element (5) to slip based on outputs from detection units (10-17, 23). During the engaging element slipping process, the clutch torque control unit (20) also performs torque control which includes increasing the drive torque of the motor generator (2) by an amount of clutch slip promoting torque for promoting the slipping of the drive-transmitting engaging element (5), and decreasing the drive torque of the motor generator (2) upon meeting a pre-set condition for suppressing the slip promoting torque compared to the drive torque in the case where the condition is not met.
