Abstract:
An organic EL display device (electroluminescence device)(1) equipped with an organic EL element (electroluminescence element)(4), wherein the organic EL display device (1) is provided with a protective film (14)for covering the organic EL element (4) and protecting the organic EL element (4) on a TFT substrate (substrate)(2), a frame-shaped seal material (5) surrounding the protective film (14) on the TFT substrate (2), and a metal film (3) for sealing the organic EL element (4) and the protective film (14) between the metal film (3) and the TFT substrate (2), the metal film (3) being bonded by the sealing material (5) to the TFT substrate (2).
