Abstract:
An electrolytic capacitor according to the present invention is provided with: a rectangular parallelepiped resin molded body provided with a layered product including a capacitor element that includes an positive electrode having a dielectric layer on a surface and a negative electrode opposing the positive electrode and with a sealing resin for sealing an area around the layered product; a first outer electrode formed on a first end surface of the resin molded body and electrically connected to the positive electrode exposed on the first end surface; and a second outer electrode formed on a second end surface of the resin molded body and electrically connected to the negative electrode exposed on the second end surface. The electrolytic capacitor is characterized in that each of the first outer electrode and the second outer electrode includes a resin electrode layer including an electrically conductive component and a resin component and a Ni-plated layer provided on a surface of the resin electrode layer, and the ratio (resin electrode layer thickness / Ni-plated layer thickness) of the thickness of the resin electrode layer to the thickness of the Ni-plated layer is 5 or less.
