Abstract:
The present invention provides an electromagnetic wave detection device, a media processing device, and an electromagnetic wave detection method, whereby the characteristics of a target object for a plurality of terahertz electromagnetic waves having different characteristics can be readily detected. The electromagnetic wave detection device irradiates terahertz electromagnetic waves on to a medium to detect characteristics and comprises: a transmission unit that irradiates first terahertz electromagnetic waves having first characteristics and second terahertz electromagnetic waves having second characteristics different from the first characteristics, on to the same detection area; and a reception unit that receives the first terahertz electromagnetic waves and the second terahertz electromagnetic waves that have passed through the detection area.
