Abstract:
An electromagnetic wave detection device according to the present invention comprises: an electromagnetic wave absorption layer including a low-dimensional electronic material for absorbing electromagnetic waves; a first electrode provided on a first main surface of the electromagnetic wave absorption layer; a second electrode provided on a second main surface, which opposes the first main surface, of the electromagnetic wave absorption layer; and a readout circuit that reads out, from the second electrode, a signal generated by thermoelectric conversion of heat generated in the electromagnetic wave absorption layer which has absorbed the electromagnetic waves.
