An electromagnetic wave shield material comprising a flexible sheet-shaped base material (11) constituted from a porous body and a metal thermal spray layer (21) formed from a metal that has been thermal-sprayed on the surface of the sheet-shaped base material (11), wherein a surface skin layer (12) is formed on the surface layer part of the sheet-shaped base material (11), and the metal thermal spray layer (21) is formed over the surface skin layer (12).
