Abstract:
This electron beam irradiation apparatus which radiates an electron beam to the inside of a container is provided with: a vacuum housing (1) that constitutes a vacuum chamber; an electron generator (2) that is provided in the vacuum housing (1); a cylindrical nozzle member (4), which extends from the vacuum housing (1) such that the nozzle member can be inserted into the container, and which has, at the leading end thereof, an output window (3) for outputting the electron beam to the inside of the container, said electron beam having been generated by means of the electron generator (2); and a magnetic shield member (5) for the vacuum chamber, and a magnetic shield member (6) for the nozzle member, said members being provided to the vacuum housing (1) and the nozzle member (4), respectively, for the purpose of shielding variable magnetism generated around an electron beam track from the electron generator (2) to the output window (3).
