Abstract:
The present invention provides a highly reliable electronic control device that is able to cause a microcomputer to carry out a normal stop and a normal restart reliably by controlling a power supply voltage. This electronic control device 25 has a microcomputer 18, a power supply control unit 20 for controlling a power supply voltage of the microcomputer, and a capacitor 19 provided between the power supply control unit and the microcomputer, and is characterized in that the power supply control unit 20 has: a first power supply unit 24 for supplying a first power supply voltage V1 to the microcomputer by turning on a start signal for starting the microcomputer, and for stopping the supply of the power supply voltage by turning off the start signal; a reset control unit 14 for generating a low reset signal by turning off the start signal; and a discharging control unit 12 for discharging the charge of the capacitor when the low reset signal is received.
