[Problem] To reduce the effects of a short circuit between a power supply contact point and a contact point adjacent thereto. [Solution] An electronic device (100) is provided with a plurality of contact points that are arranged in a line and that are for electrical connection to an accessory (200) which is detachably attachable. The plurality of contact points include: an attachment detection contact point (TC06) for use in detection of the attachment of the accessory to the electronic device; a power supply contact point (TA05) for use in supplying power from the electronic device to the accessory; communication contact points (TA02, TA03, TA07 to TA017, TA19, TA20) for use in communication between the electronic device and the accessory; and a first ground contact point (TA04) connected to a ground. Attaching the accessory to the electronic device causes the electric potential of the attachment detection contact point to be equal to the ground potential. The attachment detection contact point is arranged so as to be one of the two contact points adjacent to the power supply contact point, and the first ground contact point is arranged so as to be the other.
