Abstract:
Provided is an electronic device comprising: a setting means that sets a predetermined function executable regardless of the orientation of the electronic device related to the control of the electronic device; an orientation detection means that detects the orientation of the electronic device; and a control means that performs control such that, when a first orientation of the electronic device is detected by the orientation detection means, a first display urging the setting of the predetermined function including a display item for directing the setting of the predetermined function by user operation according to the setting state of the predetermined function is performed on a display means, and when a second orientation different from the first orientation of the electronic device is detected by the orientation detection means, the first display is not performed.
