Abstract:
An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device comprises a memory, a communication module, and a processor which generates first authentication information to store the generated first authentication information in the memory and transmits a video call request and the first authentication information to an external device through the communication module, if a user input for performing a video call with the external device is received, and which generates first image data including second authentication information and transmits the generated first image data to the external device through the communication module, if the second authentication information is received from the external device through the communication module.
