Abstract:
Various embodiments in the present invention relate to an electronic device for providing an avatar, and an operation method therefor, the electronic device comprising: a memory for storing first modeling data related to an avatar of a first category and second modeling data related to an avatar of a second category; a display; and a processor, wherein: the processor is configured to determine a category for at least one avatar to be outputted through the display, acquire, from the first modeling data and the second modeling data, modeling data corresponding to the determined category, and control outputting of the at least one avatar by using the acquired modeling data; and the first modeling data and the second modeling data can be stored so as to be separated from each other.
