Abstract:
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device comprises at least one sensor, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor may be configured to: confirm a gesture identification request from a first application being executed by the at least one processor; in response to confirming the gesture identification request, identify a gesture by using at least one piece of sensing data from at least one first sensor module activated in the at least one sensor on the basis of a gesture application; provide the identified gesture to the first application; and, on the basis of the first application, perform at least one operation corresponding to the identified gesture. Various other embodiments are possible.
