An electronic device is provided. An electronic device comprising a communication module, a processor, and a memory storing instructions: receives information notifying the entry of a first external electronic device from at least one anchor installed on a designated space; establishes a communication connection with the first external electronic device by means of the communication module in response to the reception of the information; after the communication connection with the first external electronic device is established, receives, from the first external electronic device, a request for authorization to use a first device from among devices located in the designated space; identify use authorization set for the first external electronic device on the basis of the information on the first device and the information on the first external electronic device; and transmits information to the first external electronic device and the first device such that the set use authorization is applied to the first external electronic device.
