Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a device supporting automatic speech recognition in an electronic device capable of natural language processing, and an operation method therefor. To this end, the electronic device may identify a speech type of an audio signal input from a microphone, on the basis of one or multiple partial texts sequentially recognized from the input audio signal. The electronic device can adaptively determine a hold time on the basis of the speech type, and detect speech termination of the audio signal by applying the determined hold time.
