Abstract:
An electronic parking brake system according to one embodiment, which is an electronic parking brake system including a motor actuator operated by an electric motor, comprises: a motor drive circuit that drives the electric motor; a current sensor that detects a current flowing through the electric motor; a voltage sensor that detects a voltage input to the electric motor; and a control unit that determines total energy consumption on the basis of the current and the voltage of the electric motor when parking is in operation, determines whether it is necessary to change a target current of a parking operation mode according to the determined total energy consumption, if it is determined that the target current needs to be changed, changes a target current on the basis of at least one of the duration of use of the electronic parking brake system and the number of times of same is operated, and controls the electric motor according to the changed target current.
