Abstract:
An electronic parking brake system according to an embodiment comprises: an electronic parking brake which is provided to generate a clamping force for holding wheels of a vehicle; and a controller which during braking of the vehicle being running, estimates the weight of the vehicle on the basis of the wheel pressure and longitudinal acceleration of the vehicle, and during a parking operation, determines a clamping force required for parking on the basis of the estimated weight of the vehicle and operates the electronic parking brake to generate the determined clamping force.
