Abstract:
This electrophotographic photosensitive body is provided with a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer is composed of a single layer. The photosensitive layer contains at least a charge generator and a compound represented by general formula (1).
In general formula (1), R1 represents an aryl group having from 6 to 22 (inclusive) carbon atoms, which may optionally have an alkyl group having from 1 to 10 (inclusive) carbon atoms, an aralkyl group having from 7 to 20 (inclusive) carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having from 3 to 20 (inclusive) carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having from 1 to 6 (inclusive) carbon atoms or an alkyl group having from 3 to 20 (inclusive) carbon atoms, which may optionally have -CO-OR3; R3 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 8 (inclusive) carbon atoms; and R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a cyano group.
