Abstract:
Provided is an elevator car which can be more efficiently produced. This elevator car comprises a car chamber 1 and a car frame 2, the car frame 2 having a lower transom 21 supporting the car chamber 1, an upper transom 22 disposed above the car chamber 1, and vertical columns 23 connected to the lower transom 21 and the upper transom 22. Each of the vertical columns 23 has a U-shaped cross-section. The upper transom portion and the lower transom portion of the vertical columns 23 have: facing portions 231, 235 which face the sides of the car chamber 1; a pair of bent portions 232, 236 which protrude away from the car chamber 1 from both ends in the width direction of the facing portions 231, 235; and a pair of folded-back portions 233, 237 which protrude towards the car chamber 1 from the ends of the bent portions 232, 236 and overlap the bent portions 232, 236.
