Abstract:
An elevator device is configured in such a manner that suspension means for suspending the car is wound around car suspension sheaves provided to the lower part of the car. First and second column sections are provided on both sides of the car doorway opening. A suspension-means passage space which continues in the vertical direction is formed outside the first column section with respect to the car doorway opening, the suspension-means passage space being located between the landing-side wall surface of the car compartment and the surface formed by vertically extending the car compartment-side end surface of the car sill. The suspension means is passed through the suspension-means passage space. The end section of the suspension-means passage space which is on the side opposite the first column section connects with the space which is within the hoistway and arround the car. In a plan view of the car, the boundary of the suspension-means passage space is formed by the landing-side wall surface, a door support guide section, the car sill, and the first column section.
