Abstract:
In an elevator device, a car and a counterweight are suspended by a main rope so as to be vertically movable within a hoist way. The upper part of the inside of the hoist way is provided with: a weight-side main rope end device having a weight-side main rope holding section to which a first end of the main rope is connected; and a car-side main rope end device having a car-side main rope holding section to which a second end of the main rope is connected. A drive device is provided directly above the range of movement of the counterweight and is disposed outside the region of the car when the hoist way is viewed from above. The position of the uppermost part of the weight-side main rope end device is located at a higher position than the uppermost part of the drive device.
