Abstract:
Provided is an elevator rope detachment prevention device in which adjustment work is not necessary. An elevator rope detachment prevention device (1) according to the present invention is provided with: levers (2) that have end portions attached to a support body of a sheave (8) and that are rotatable about shafts parallel to a rotary shaft (11) of the sheave (8); and contact members that are provided at the other end portions of the levers (2) and that come into contact with a rope (9) which is wound around and hung from the sheave (8). The end portions of the levers (2) are mounted to the support body of the sheave (8) via ratchet mechanisms for restricting rotation of the levers (2) in a direction in which the levers are spaced apart from the sheave (8).
