Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a novel use of ellagic acid. [Solution] The present invention proposes that ellagic acid is usable as an active ingredient of a composition for inhibiting phosphodiesterase-5 activity, a composition for inhibiting the decomposition of cGMP or increasing the concentration of the same, a composition for increasing the internal pressure of the penis, a composition for preventing penile erectile dysfunction and/or a composition for ameliorating prostatic hypertrophy.
