Abstract:
Provided is a method of manufacturing an embossing roll with which multiple types of products can be produced in small quantities, and in which uneven patterns are formed on a surface thereof in a precise and uniform manner without irregularity, as well as an embossing roll. The embossing-roll manufacturing method includes: a step for preparing a cylindrical base material; and a molding step for applying embossing to the surface of the cylindrical base material on the basis of three-dimensional processing data by using a three-dimensional printer. It is suitable that the three-dimensional processing data be created by three-dimensionally scanning an embossing-roll model.
