Abstract:
An embroidery device (30) removably installed on a sewing machine bed section (1) of a sewing machine (M) and having an embroidery frame feed mechanism for moving an embroidery frame (33) holding working cloth. The sewing machine (M) is capable of executing a normal mode where sewing operation is performed by vertically moving feed teeth (13) provided at the sewing machine bed section (1) and an embroidery mode where embroidery operation is performed with the feeder teeth (13) held sunken below a needle plate (1b). The embroidery device (30) can be installed on the sewing machine bed section and is provided with mode change means (35) and selection change means (50). The mode change means (35) changes the feed teeth (13) between the normal mode and the embroidery mode while being installed on the sewing machine bed section (1). The selection change means (50) changes, when the embroidery device (30) is removed from the sewing machine bed section (1), the state of the mode change means to the embroidery mode side in conjunction with the removal operation.
