Abstract:
There is provided an emergency lighting testing module and method for routinely testing an emergency lighting system. The testing module receives a status signal from the emergency lighting system, where the status signal indicates a state of the emergency lighting system. Upon receipt of the status, the testing module passively stores the status in a memory storage. When the testing module receives a status request, the testing module reports the status stored in the memory storage via a wireless connection such as Bluetooth®. The testing module can be a mesh device in a common local area network, LAN of the emergency lighting system.
