Abstract:
The invention relates to marine propulsion elements, in particular to enclosures for propellers. The inventive enclosure comprises a shell (1) provided with elements (4) of the enclosure. The edge (5) of said elements is projected behind the propeller outside the exit edge (7) of the shell (1). The height of the element (4) is less than a half-radius of the propeller. The external edges of the elements (4) are arranged on the conical surface of the shell, the bases thereof being oriented towards the propeller. The elements (4) can be embodied in the form of a triangle or trapezoidal corner plates. The invention increases by more than 5 % the efficiency of the propeller, reduces fuel consumption and improves a vessel's steering.
