Title:
ENCODING DEVICE, ENCODING METHOD, DECODING DEVICE, DECODING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/039099
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present technology relates to an encoding device, an encoding method, a decoding device, a decoding method, and a program which enable encoding in which running disparity is controlled and transmission efficiency is high. The present invention is provided with: a calculation unit which divides input data into N bits or M bits and calculates a first running disparity of the data sequence of the N bits or M bits; a determination unit which determines whether to invert the data sequence on the basis of the first running disparity calculated in the calculation unit and second running disparity calculated at a time point before the first running disparity; and an adding unit which inverts or does not invert the data sequence on the basis of the determination result from the determination unit, and adds and outputs a flag that shows the determination result from the determination unit, wherein, when the data sequence is a control code, the determination unit determines non-inversion and the adding unit adds the flag allocated to the control code. The present technology can be applied to a device that performs communication according to SLVC-EC specifications.
