Abstract:
The present invention is an endoscope hood (5) that is mounted onto an endoscope insertion part (11) provided with an optical fiber (13) for guiding therapeutic radiation by which biological tissue is to be irradiated, and emitting the therapeutic radiation from a distal end (13a) thereof, and an observation optical system (15) for observing the biological tissue, the hood (5) comprising: an attachment part (27) for attachment on a distal end (11a) of the endoscope insertion part (11); a compressing part (23) which is disposed at a position that closes off a distal end surface (13b) of the optical fiber (13), the compressing part (23) also having a compressing face (23a), for compressing the biological tissue, and being capable of transmitting the therapeutic radiation; and a space (25), disposed in front of the observation optical system (15), through which light can pass toward the observation optical system (15).
