Abstract:
Provided are an endoscope, an image processing device, an endoscope system, an image processing method, and a program which are capable of enlarging a dynamic range and preventing a reduction in resolution. An endoscope system 1 is provided with: an imaging element 244 having a pixel unit 2441 in which a plurality of first light receiving units and a plurality of second light receiving units are disposed and the first light receiving units and the second light receiving units are mutually different in light receiving sensitivity and light receiving area, and a reading unit 2443 for reading, as image data, pixel signals from each of the plurality of first light receiving units and the plurality of second light receiving units; an assessment unit 510 for assessing a pixel signal of each pixel of an image based on the image data generated by the imaging element 244; and a development unit 511 for generating a display image of the image data on the basis of the assessment result from the assessment unit 510.
