Abstract:
This energy conversion system is provided with a fuel synthesis device (10), an H2O supply part (20, 22), a CO2 supply part (23, 25), and a supply control part (29). The fuel synthesis device has an electrolyte (11) and a pair of electrodes (12, 13) provided in both sides of the electrolyte. The H2O supply part supplies H2O to the fuel synthesis device. The CO2 supply part supplies CO2 to the fuel synthesis device. The supply control part controls the supply of H2O and the supply of CO2. The fuel synthesis device electrolyzes H2O and CO2 by using external power, and synthesizes hydrocarbon by using H2 and CO generated by electrolysis. The supply control part starts to supply CO2 to the fuel synthesis device via the CO2 supply part, and then starts to supply H2O to the fuel synthesis device via the H2O supply part.
