An internal combustion engine (106) is provided including an engine block (114) including a cylinder (116), a piston (118) configured to reciprocate within the cylinder (116), a crankshaft (110) coupled to the piston (118) and configured to rotate about a crankshaft axis (111), a power source (14) comprising at least two voltage output terminals (32, 38), a starter motor (16) configured to crank the crankshaft (110) and start the engine (106) upon receiving power from the power source (14), and a power tool switch component (12) configured to selectively provide power from the power source (14) to the starter motor (16). The component (12) includes a housing (20), a user interface (182), a printed circuit board assembly (25) positioned within the housing (20), a first set of terminals (29) electrically connected to the power source (14), and a second set of terminals (27) electrically connected to the starter motor (16). The printed circuit board assembly (25) includes one or more circuits (62, 64, 66, 68) having machine-executable instructions configured to control operation of the starter motor (16) and the power tool switch component (12).
