Abstract:
Provided are an enhanced substrate-based comparator and an electronic device, said comparator comprising: a cross-coupled latch (1), used for connecting an input signal to a gate of a cross-coupled MOS transistor to form a first input terminal of the latch; an output buffer (2), connected to the cross-coupling latch (1) and used for amplifying the output signal of the latch; an AC coupler (3), connected to the output buffer (2) and used for receiving and amplifying the output signal of the latch, and coupling the output signal to the cross-coupled latch (1) MOS transistor substrate to form a second input terminal of the latch; the cross-coupled latch (1) is also used for performing output signal regenerative latching on the input signal sampled at the first input terminal and the input signal sampled at the second input terminal. The present solution additionally introduces a substrate input in the cross-coupling structure of a conventional latch, to serve as a second input of the latch, thus not only introducing the bulk transconductance of the cross-coupled MOS transistor into the input node, but also enhancing positive feedback capability and accelerating the latch.
