Abstract:
The present invention relates to an escalator foothold which includes a demarcation having a friction reducing function and is installed to be movable between a pair of side surface wall bodies, the escalator foothold comprising: a step body which has a stepping plate for allowing a user to step thereon, and serves as a foothold for the user; and a friction reducing demarcation which is installed to provide a warning sign at an edge on the stepping plate, and has friction reducing plates formed to extend downward from both side portions thereof and attached to both opposite side surface portions of the step body so as to reduce a frictional force with respect to the side surface wall bodies. According to the present invention: spacing between a demarcation and a friction reducing plate is relieved, and thus a problem such as sticking of foreign substances thereto can be resolved; burden of operations of handling and installing the demarcation and the friction reducing plate can be minimized; and the adhesive force of the demarcation contributes to the enhancement of the adhesive force of the friction reducing plate, thereby greatly contributing to the enhancement of reliability and durability of a friction reducing action through strong fixing of the friction reducing plate.
