Abstract:
The present invention relates to an Escherichia genus microorganism lacking an EutE gene or a PuuC gene, and to a method for producing retinoid using same, and more specifically, to a method for producing retinoid comprising: the Escherichia genus microorganism lacking or having a diminished EutE gene, PuuC gene, which are capable of producing retinoid, or a combination thereof; and separating retinoid from a cultivated product which is obtained by cultivating the microorganism. All of these inventions are based on a confirmation of enzyme activity with respect to retinal and retinoid of EutE and PuuC proteins.

Claims:
