Abstract:
Provided is an expandable structure for which the shape of components can be simplified, the external appearance is good, and an increase in the manufacturing cost, the materials used, and the weight can be suppressed. The expandable structure (1) is provided with a pair of first members (11), a first bending part (12), a pair of second members (13), a second bending part (14), a first rotation part (15), and a second rotation part (16). The first rotation part (15) is configured so as to have a first rotation axis (151) and the second rotation part (16) is configured so as to have a second rotation axis (161). When the pair of first members (11) are valley-folded the pair of first members (11) and the pair of second members (13) rotate while the pair of second members (13) bend so as to undergo mountain folding, first one member (11a) and second one member (13a) rotate relative to one another around the first rotation axis (151), and first other member (11b) and second other member (13b) rotate relative to one another around the second rotation axis (161), thereby enabling the expandable structure to undergo deformation.
