One aspect of the present disclosure provides an exterior member that enables a high degree of freedom in wire distribution and enables wire shape retention. An exterior member (12) according to one aspect of the present disclosure comprises a plurality of tubular members (21, 22) that are provided around an outer circumference of a wire (11) and cover the outer circumference of the wire (11). Each of the tubular members (21, 22) has an end on one side and an end on another side, and an outer shape of the end on another side is narrower than the end on one side. The outer shape of the end on one side of any tubular member among the plurality of tubular members (21, 22) is of a size that enables insertion into another tubular member from the end on another side of the other tubular member. At least one of the plurality of tubular members (21, 22) is a long tubular member (22) that is relatively longer than another tubular member (21).
