Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for producing an amino resin-bound wood-based material, comprising a. providing a mixture comprising a urea-formaldehyde condensate, b. reactively extruding the mixture comprising a urea-formaldehyde condensate in an extruder, c. resinating lignocellulosic matter by applying a resin liquor comprising or consisting of the extruded resin to the lignocellulosic matter by means of a resin application device, and compressing the resinated lignocellulosic matter. The invention also relates to wood-based materials produced by the process of the invention and to an apparatus suitable for implementing the process of the invention. The invention additionally relates to the use of reactive extrusion for amino resin binders for producing low-formaldehyde-emission wood-based materials.
