Abstract:
A sewing machine M comprises a first restraining device 30 and a sliding device 50. An arm part 32 of the first restraining device 30 restrains an end section of an arm piece that is placed in a piece placement groove 26. A hand piece is placed so as to overlap with the arm piece, and a cloth spreading board part 63 of the sliding device 50 is provided therebetween. After the arm piece and the hand piece have been sewn together, the cloth spreading board part 63 is moved while the arm piece is restrained by the arm part 32 such that the hand piece is spread out from the arm piece.
